The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like Arturo Vargas has been cut.

Paschal throws a nice looking combination but Vargas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Paschal is pawing at Vargas, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Vargas's nose. Vargas is badly hurt! Paschal pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Vargas tries desperately to hold on but Paschal is relentless in his assault! As Vargas receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Paschal away and this one is in the books!

In his post fight interview, Marlin Paschal started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
