The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurmagomedov shoots in but Jankens avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A slow jab from Nurmagomedov misses its intended target.
Nurmagomedov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jankens as he avoids it easily.
Jankens wants to clinch up but Nurmagomedov keeps it at a distance.
Nurmagomedov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Nurmagomedov fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khabib Nurmagomedov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nurmagomedov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jankens is fending him off so far but Nurmagomedov persists. Nope, Jankens circles away and we're back to standing.
Nurmagomedov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jankens.
Jankens stuffs the takedown.
Jankens moves in looking to clinch but Nurmagomedov pushes him off.
Jankens looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nurmagomedov has Jankens pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nurmagomedov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jankens tumbling to the mat - Nurmagomedov dives into Jankens's guard.
Jankens is adopting a defensive guard.
Jankens really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nurmagomedov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jankens is trying to get back to full guard.
Nurmagomedov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jankens!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nurmagomedov moves to the back position.

Nurmagomedov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jankens has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Nurmagomedov is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Jankens is trying to defend against the choke here but Nurmagomedov has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Nurmagomedov Tightens the hold and Jankens taps out furiously! Nurmagomedov displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
