Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franklin Mironi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Nathaniel Jones!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mironi catches Jones with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Mironi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.
Jones throws the kick towards the body but Mironi avoids it.
Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Jones moves into the clinch.
Mironi gets through Jones's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jones instigates a clinch.
Jones wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Mironi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mironi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mironi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mironi has escaped and now he's on top!

Our spies down at at Team Mass Valley Academy inform us that Jones has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Jones wants to stand up but Mironi is controlling him.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jones is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Mironi frees his head nicely. Oh but Jones has switched to an armbar! Mironi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
