CWC 266 PBP Commentary |
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 15 losses; Arm Breaker! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 7 losses; Carl Moore!

Breaker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Moore manages to pull guard.
Moore wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Moore looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Breaker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Moore pulls Breaker in to control the position.
Breaker trying to control the position from guard on top but Moore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Moore looking for a sweep. Not yet Moore, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Breaker wants to control from the top but Moore keeps moving.

Breaker is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Moore is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Moore is trying to keep Breaker in close.
Moore keeping moving, preventing Breaker from controlling successfully.

Breaker wants to pass the guard but Moore is keeping the position.
Breaker stopping the sweep attempt from Moore.
Breaker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Moore manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Breaker has Moore in his guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Breaker (0) vs (2) Moore
Breaker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Moore doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Moore manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Moore is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Breaker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Moore has gone for a leg lock! Breaker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Moore's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Breaker (2) vs (2) Moore
Breaker looking to improve position, pressing down on Moore's thigh with his hand. Moore seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Breaker paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Breaker's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Moore picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
