Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kamal King (ranked 4695 p4p, 24163 weight class) and Boonthai Sitsongrit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Boonthai Sitsongrit enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kamal King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boonthai Sitsongrit !
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sitsongrit .
King moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Sitsongrit moves into the clinch.
King decides to pull guard.
King has a closed guard, preventing Sitsongrit from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sitsongrit throws an elbow that misses. King uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sitsongrit 's guard. Nice move by King!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King stands up from Sitsongrit 's guard - King perhaps looking for a knockout.
Sitsongrit gets caught flat footed, as King shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

King sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sitsongrit 's guard.
Sitsongrit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King lands with a punch from half guard.
King winds up and cracks Sitsongrit with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
King decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Sitsongrit tries to clinch there but King circles away.
Sitsongrit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around King's waist but King gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sitsongrit off to one side.
Sitsongrit avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sitsongrit is looking for the big counter here.
King scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

King decides to stand back up.

Sitsongrit fails with the takedown.
King stuffs the takedown.
Kamal King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boonthai Sitsongrit .
King throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sitsongrit shoots in looking for a takedown but King manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sitsongrit 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
King feinted with a counter takedown.
King tries to clinch but Sitsongrit moves out of range.
King bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
King tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Sitsongrit is letting King control him for a moment.

Sitsongrit parries the strikes from King easily there. King is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sitsongrit to escape.
King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sitsongrit keeps working.
Sitsongrit tries to escape but King is in control.
King tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no King has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sitsongrit tries to sprawl but King drives through with a takedown into half guard.
King lands with a punch from half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with King in particular looking to stall.
King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sitsongrit tries to roll over but King keeps him under control.
Sitsongrit is looking to control King's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sitsongrit avoid being mounted?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
King shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sitsongrit napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sitsongrit tries to get back to half guard but can't.
King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sitsongrit keeps working.
King decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sitsongrit to his feet.
King gets a double leg takedown into Sitsongrit 's guard.

King escapes and gets back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sitsongrit tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sitsongrit doesn't succeed with the takedown
and King counters with a two punch combo.
King pushes Sitsongrit up against the cage in a clinch.
Sitsongrit tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. King just stands there and leans against the cage.
King jumps guard and drags Sitsongrit to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
King looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Sitsongrit is defending well. King quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Sitsongrit has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! King celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
