The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reese tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Okoye manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Okoye ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Okoye throws a half hearted mid kick.
Reese moves out of range as Okoye strikes.
Okoye lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Reese at a distance.
Okoye ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reese moves away.
Reese shoots in looking for a takedown but Okoye manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reese's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Okoye connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A solid leg kick lands there for Reese.
Okoye misses with a body shot
and Reese counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Okoye throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Reese sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Okoye clobbers Reese with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Reese ducks under a wild hook from Okoye.
Okoye lands with an overhand left.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Okoye misses with a kick to the body.

Reese decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Okoye is positioning himself well to prevent Reese advancing to mount.
Reese wants to lay and pray for a moment but Okoye keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Okoye is looking for a sweep. Reese is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Okoye is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reese pulls his head out easily.

Reese is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Okoye defends it well.
Okoye works his way to full guard. Good work.
Okoye is controlling Reese's posture.

Okoye is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Okoye is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Okoye is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Reese frees his head nicely. Oh but Okoye has switched to an armbar! Reese is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
