Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manny Elorde (ranked 3516 p4p, 3170 weight class) and Maycon Jardim (ranked 205 p4p, 192 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jardim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Elorde fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jardim, pushing him back against the cage.
Elorde will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jardim up against the cage.
Elorde keeps control of Jardim as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Elorde tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jardim avoids it.
We've been hearing reports that Elorde has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

As Elorde backs off Jardim throws a huge counter combo but Elorde manages to avoid it all.
Elorde closes the distance and clinches up with Jardim, looking for a takedown. Elorde pushes Jardim against the cage but Jardim circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jardim feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Elordes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Maycon Jardim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jardim feints a jab promting Elorde to slip. Jardim then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Elorde slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Jardim throws a combination. Elorde tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Jardim lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jardim throws a series of strikes that have Elorde backpedaling.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Elorde is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jardim tries to bum rush Elorde with a series of wild strikes but Elorde uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jardim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jardim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Elorde is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jardim.
Elorde throws a wild hook but Jardim just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Elorde gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Jardim raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
