Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Morrison (ranked 3518 p4p, 5353 weight class) and Landon Miranda (ranked 432 p4p, 525 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Miranda's choice of entrance music: Your Eyes. Landon Miranda told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Morrison !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Landon Miranda!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miranda misses with a takedown
and Morrison counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Morrison missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Miranda tries to roll over but Morrison keeps him under control.

Miranda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morrison . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Miranda is in trouble now - Morrison has advanced to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morrison goes for an armbar but Miranda turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Miranda.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morrison is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Morrison is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Morrison lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Morrison is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Morrison is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Miranda preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Morrison is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Morrison drops back looking for a leg! Miranda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Miranda manages to kick Morrison off! Morrison jumps back into Miranda's guard.
Morrison seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Morrison thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Morrison postures up in Miranda's guard and throws a big left but Miranda blocks it.
Morrison has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Morrison passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Morrison is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Miranda is trying to escape and Morrison transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Miranda is forced to tap! Nice work there by Morrison ! Very nice indeed!
