Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between C S Kitiona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Pasquale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pasquale comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fight Like A Brave kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pasquale avoids the body shot from Kitiona.
Pasquale fails to land the takedown.
Kitiona swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kitiona stuffs the takedown attempt from Pasquale. Pasquale gets slowly back to his feet.
Pasquale tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kitiona swivels and escapes.

Kitiona is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pasquale is surviving well by controlling Kitiona's body position as best he can.
Pasquale is desperately trying to improve his position but Kitiona has a good base and remains in mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee warns Pasquale that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Kitiona seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Pasquale is holding on tight.
Kitiona swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pasquale is now in Kitiona's guard. A big mistake from Kitiona there, giving up the dominant position!

Pasquale connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kitiona some visible discomfort.
Pasquale postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Kitiona takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Pasquale is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kitiona is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

and Kitiona counters with a left and a right that stings Pasquale.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Pasquale counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Kitiona has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Kitiona escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pasquale gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pasquale looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kitiona with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pasquale is looking for a kimura but Kitiona is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pasquale to get the leverage.
Pasquale is thwarting Kitiona's attempts to control the position.

Pasquale landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Pasquale slips a nice elbow through Kitiona's hands, connecting with Kitiona's forehead.
Kitiona keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kitiona is on top in guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Pasquale counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kitiona's guard now.

Kitiona had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pasquale is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kitiona Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pasquale's back instead.
Pasquale rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
