Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rajon Shaw (ranked 5087 p4p, 5601 weight class) and Alphonzo Ball (ranked 564 p4p, 591 weight class). Ball has chosen Zo and Young Lando - Last Days as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rajon Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alphonzo Ball!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ball throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ball blocks a head kick by Shaw.
Ball scores with a spinning back kick!
Ball throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A punch combination from Ball misses.
Ball throws a one two combo.
Ball connects with a high kick.
Shaw takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Shaw shoots in looking for a takedown. Ball tries to sprawl out of it but Shaw keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ball manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shaw really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ball throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shaw.
Shaw takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Shaw is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ball.
Ball stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ball wants it to stay on the feet.
Ball drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Shaw defends it well.
A solid body kick from Ball.

Ball lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ball has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Ball stalks Shaw and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shaw's face. Shaw staggers backwards, shaken.
Ball gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Shaw counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ball is pushing Shaw's head away, looking to escape. Shaw manages to hold on to the position though.
Shaw moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Ball bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Shaw shoots for a takedown but Ball saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ball with a nice calf kick.
Ball cracks Shaw with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Alphonzo Ball is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shaw takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ball explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Ball fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shaw on the side of the head.
Shaw manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ball on his heels. He'll look to pass Ball's guard now, I'm sure.
Shaw is breathing heavily.
Ball has a closed guard, preventing Shaw from standing up.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Shaw won't allow Ball to get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alphonzo Ball dominated that round.
That's time! Shaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ball throws a shot to the body.
Shaw tries to clinch but Ball moves out of range.
Ball wants to counter the offense by Shaw and move into the clinch position.
Alphonzo Ball seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Ball throws a series of punches but Shaw moves out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ball.
Shaw darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ball really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Shaw in particular looking to stall.
Shaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ball is trying to stand up here but Shaw is controlling him well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Shaw's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shaw maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ball could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Shaw has cracked it and Ball is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Shaw!
