Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Oliveira might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to under the knife. Silva has chosen Kanye west - Amazing as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oliveira shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Oliveira was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Oliveira blocks Silva's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Oliveira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
Silva is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oliveira landing strikes from the mount and Silva is in trouble!
Silva bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Oliveira looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Oliveira persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Silva working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Oliveira wants to get back to his feet.
Oliveira tries to roll over but Silva keeps him under control.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silva in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Oliveira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.

Silva lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

A close round but Matheus Silva will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Oliveira shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Silva is controlling the pace.

Silva wants to work for an arm triangle but Oliveira is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Silva working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Oliveira looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Silva! Submission of the night perhaps?
