Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinnen Williams (ranked 1835 p4p, 2650 weight class) and Ragnar Lothbrock (ranked 232 p4p, 316 weight class). Williams's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Here Comes the Boom. Quinnen Williams could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ragnar Lothbrock's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lothbrock moves to clinch but Williams breaks away

and Williams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Lothbrock has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Williams has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Lothbrock gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Williams is on top in guard.

Williams postures up in Lothbrock's guard and throws a big left but Lothbrock blocks it.
Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lothbrock swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lothbrock is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Lothbrock is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Williams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lothbrock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Lothbrock has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Williams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lothbrock's head.

Lothbrock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Williams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lothbrock's head.

Lothbrock has hold of Williams's hands but Williams slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lothbrock is still in real trouble! Can Williams finish him?

We've been hearing that Williams has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Lothbrock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lothbrock seems to have recovered his senses.

Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lothbrock's head.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Williams seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
