The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li Quit throws a poor cross that misses
and Usman Jr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Li Quit's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Li Quit is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Li Quit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Li Quit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Li Quit wants to improve his position but Usman Jr is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Usman Jr is nestled in close to Li Quit, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Li Quit is trying to control but can't.

Usman Jr lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Li Quit is rocked!
Oooh a big shot lands for Usman Jr! Li Quit is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
