Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joro Paveto (ranked 1256 p4p, 3134 weight class) and Bernie Sanders (ranked 73 p4p, 199 weight class). Paveto comes to the cage accompanied by Imperial March. Sanders is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Shooter Gang. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Paveto is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Paveto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sanders was well out of range. Poor timing from Paveto.

Sanders takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

A little jabbing left from Sanders on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Sanders looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Paveto throws a poor cross that misses

and Paveto is countered with a crisp right hand from Sanders that sends him to the canvas! Sanders follows him to the mat into side control.

Paveto is rocked!

It looks like Joro Paveto has been cut.

Sanders tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Oh Paveto is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sanders is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Paveto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Paveto seems to have got his legs back now.

Sanders is working to tighten his grip on Paveto's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Paveto has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sanders is really squeezing tight and eventually Paveto passes out! Sanders breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Bernie Sanders really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Brooklyn Apothecary logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
