Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Horace Cuba (ranked 1306 p4p, 1830 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 164 p4p, 227 weight class). Horace Cuba has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Horace Cuba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cuba instigates a clinch.
Cuba misses with some punches.
Meyer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cuba smiles and moves away.
Meyer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cuba.
Cuba has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter in the buildup to the fight.
Cuba just misses with a punch to the body.
Meyer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Meyer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Horace Cuba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cuba tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Meyer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cuba throws an overhand right that lands on Meyer's shoulder, as Meyer tries to avoid the shot.
Meyer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Meyer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Meyer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cuba wants to clinch but Meyer slips to the side
and Meyer counters with a three punch combo that has Cuba backing up. Cuba nods at Meyer to acknowledge the strikes.
Meyer goes for a double leg but Cuba avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cuba continues to drive forward.
Meyer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cuba lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Cuba will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Meyer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cuba swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Meyer has Cuba pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cuba manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Horace Cuba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Meyer.

Cuba tries to clinch but Meyer is having none of it.

Cuba pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Meyer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cuba is proving hard to escape from.
