Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack throws a sloppy head kick

so Firey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jack thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Firey throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jack utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jack can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Firey controls the pace.
Firey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Firey controls from within his opponent's guard.
Firey wants to get up but he can't break Jack's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Firey drops back looking for a leg! Jack is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jack manages to kick Firey off! Firey jumps back into Jack's guard.
Firey lands a couple of elbows.

Firey has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Firey tries to free his leg and advance position but Jack is retaining full guard.

Jack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Firey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Firey thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Firey stands and throws Jack's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Firey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Firey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jack has escaped the position, nice work there.
Firey is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Firey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jack for as long as he can get away with.
Jack is working to avoid the ground and pound but Firey connects with a decent elbow.
You can see the frustration on Jack's face as Firey controls the position.

Firey is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jack is trying to escape and Firey transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jack is forced to tap! Nice work there by Firey! Very nice indeed!
