Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Da Macho (ranked 5007 p4p, 3307 weight class) and Hung Wang (ranked 536 p4p, 425 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macho gets a clinch.
Macho has Wang pressed against the cage.
Wang prevents a takedown attempt there.
Macho can't get the takedown.

Macho's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Macho tries to bum rush Wang with a series of wild strikes but Wang uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The crowd cheers as Macho lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wang doesn't seem phased though.

Macho rushes Wang and presses him up against the cage.

Wang is looking to control Macho's arms but Macho gets an underhook and turns him. Now Wang has his back to the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Macho wants to improve his position but Wang is controlling well.

Wang stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Wang moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Da Macho has been cut.

Macho clinches up with Wang and pushes him back against the cage.
Macho is trying to pull guard but Wang has him pressed against the cage.

Wang slows down the pace here.
Macho jumps guard but Wang stands there with Macho around his waist. Macho gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Macho tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Macho somewhat.
Wang drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Macho defends it well.

Macho has Wang pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wang manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Da Macho will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Macho tries for a takedown but Wang sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wang doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Macho shoots in for a double leg but Wang sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wang tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Macho paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Wang has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Macho uses from the top position.

Wang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Macho controls the pace.

Wang manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Wang blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Macho turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Macho manages to end up in side control.
Wang is looking for a sweep.
I wouldn't like to be where Wang is right now.

Wang is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Macho off and has taken his back!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Macho trying to control the action but Wang just sinks the hooks in.

Wang has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Macho has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

You can see the frustration on Macho's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Hung Wang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Macho is striking but Wang is not phased and passes to half guard.

Wang wants to take a breather but Macho is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wang on the ground.

Macho is positioning himself well to prevent Wang advancing to mount.

Wang decides to return to a standing position.
Wang shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Macho pinned against the cage. Macho gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Macho pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Wang has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Macho after a bit of a struggle.

Da Macho showed his dominance in that final round.
