Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Hadley (ranked 5796 p4p, 24220 weight class) and Sutarjo Sukarman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Hadley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Hadley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sutarjo Sukarman!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sukarman is defended easily by Hadley.
Hadley feinted with a counter takedown.

Hadley fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sukarman to the ground. Hadley is now in Sukarman's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sukarman is looking to stand up but Hadley isn't so interested in that idea.
Sukarman is striking from the bottom but Hadley uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Sukarman pushes Hadley off looking to stand but Hadley dives back in and keeps control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sukarman can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hadley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Hadley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Sukarman pushes Hadley off looking to stand but Hadley dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hadley controlling the action here.
Hadley looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Sukarman wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Sukarman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hadley swivels and escapes.
Hadley went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Sukarman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hadley as he jumps to the side.
A counter left hand to the body from Hadley misses its target.
Alex Hadley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sutarjo Sukarman.
Nice sprawl there from Sukarman as Hadley shoots in.

Sukarman stuffs the takedown attempt from Hadley. Hadley gets slowly back to his feet.
Sukarman slaps away a takedown attempt from Hadley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hadley fails with a takedown attempt.
Sukarman now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Sukarman wants to stand but Hadley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hadley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sukarman's guard.

Hadley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sukarman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hadley is stalling in the full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Hadley will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Horrible takedown attempt by Sukarman or perhaps it was just good defense by Hadley, which made it look bad.
Hadley tries to counter by clinching up but Sukarman breaks away and moves out of range.
Alex Hadley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hadley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sukarman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Hadley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sukarman can do to turn this around?

Sukarman tries to strike from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hadley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sukarman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hadley has managed to get both his arms back between Sukarman's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hadley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sukarman shoots and misses

and Hadley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Sukarman is breathing heavily.
Hadley perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hadley is looking to advance position but Sukarman won't allow it.
Sukarman pushes Hadley off looking to stand but Hadley dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hadley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hadley.

Hadley just content to control the position.
Hadley wants to control but Sukarman is keeping him busy.
Hadley staying calm.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That's time! Hadley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Sukarman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hadley, pushing him back against the cage.

Alex Hadley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hadley stands and steps away. Sukarman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Hadley.
Hadley shoots in but no luck this time.
Sukarman is looking for the big counter here.

Hadley gets tackled into the cage by Sukarman. Sukarman maintains the clinch.
Hadley tries to pull guard but Sukarman won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Hadley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hadley tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sukarman just stands there and leans against the cage.

Sukarman ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sukarman no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Sukarman wants to stand but Hadley is controlling the position.
Sukarman wants to control but Hadley passes easily into half guard.
Hadley is keen to just control but Sukarman is a slippery customer.
Sukarman is pressing down on Hadley's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sukarman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Sukarman wants to stand but Hadley is controlling the position.

Hadley advances to half guard.
Hadley slows the pace down in half guard.
Hadley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sukarman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sukarman is trying to stand up here but Hadley is controlling him well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sukarman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sukarman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hadley shoots in and drives through. Sukarman sprawls well.
Sukarman looks for a takedown but Hadley sprawls well.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sutarjo Sukarman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hadley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
