Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dick Hickock!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson takes a swing at Hickock's ribcage but misses.
Nelson lands with an uppercut that bounces Hickock off the cage and back into range.

Hickock gets caught napping as Nelson dives in and scores a takedown. Hickock manages to retain guard.

Hickock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nelson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tim Nelson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nelson thows a huge punch but Hickock dodges it nicely.
Nelson uses his free foot to push down on Hickock's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hickock.
