Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bora Khan (ranked 3548 p4p, 2673 weight class) and Scotty Neer (ranked 464 p4p, 370 weight class). Khan comes to the cage accompanied by Tim McGraw - Live Like You Were Dying. Neer has chosen Back In Black as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bora Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scotty Neer!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Neer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Khan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Khan lands a jab to the nose.
Neer fails to land the takedown.
Khan's jab looks to have found its range, popping Neer under the eye.
Khan with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Khan lands with a hook. Neer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Khan lands with a right hand.
Neer tries to clinch but Khan moves out of range.
Bora Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice sprawl there from Khan as Neer shoots in.
Khan throws a body shot but no joy.
Neer feints the counter takedown.

Khan throws a jab but it's blocked by Neer.

Neer gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Khan connects with a crisp jab.
Neer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Neer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Neer not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Neer wants to take a breather but Khan is having none of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Neer breaks from Khan's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Khan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Neer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Khan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Khan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Neer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Khan's head.
Khan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Khan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Neer trying to control the position from guard on top but Khan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neer is looking to work some ground and pound but Khan has wrist control.

Khan throws a hook to the side of Neer's head but Neer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Neer avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Neer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Khan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Khan throws a jab when Neer was well out of range.
Khan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Neer.
Khan scores with a nice head shot.
Neer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Khan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Khan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Neer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Khan.
Neer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Khan avoids it really well and circles away.
Bora Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scotty Neer.
Neer tries to clinch but Khan moves out of range.
Neer misses with a takedown attempt - Khan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Khan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Neer checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Khan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Neer forces Khan back against the cage and clinches.

Neer ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Neer no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Khan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Neer wants to sweep here but Khan controlling him for the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Neer can do anything to dispel that myth.
Khan wants to get up but he can't break Neer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Neer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Neer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Khan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Neer ducks right into an uppercut from Khan.

Khan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Khan throws a punch but it's blocked by Neer.
Khan lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Neer.
Neer tries to score a body lock takedown but Khan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Neer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Khan walks away with a smile on his face. Neer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Khan cracks Neer with an open hand slap.

and Neer counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Khan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Khan is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neer prevents Khan from getting back to his feet.

Neer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Scotty Neer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bora Khan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Khan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
