Mazepin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. boom kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bertel Haardt could well score a knockout today. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fedor Mazepin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Haardt misses.

Mazepin dives in and scores a takedown into Haardt's guard.
Haardt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Haardt wants to stand up but Mazepin is controlling him.

Mazepin drops back looking for a leg! Haardt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Haardt manages to kick Mazepin off! Mazepin jumps back into Haardt's guard.
Mazepin stands up over Haardt, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

It looks like Bertel Haardt has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mazepin chips away with some ground and pound.
Haardt is looking to stand up but Mazepin isn't so interested in that idea.

Haardt wants to stand up but Mazepin is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mazepin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mazepin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Mazepin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mazepin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Haardt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mazepin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Haardt's head.
Mazepin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Mazepin has gone for a leg lock! Haardt slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mazepin's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mazepin has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Haardt should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mazepin has tightened it up now! Haardt should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
