Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Prid Vijitpongpun (ranked 4627 p4p, 6201 weight class) and Baldwin Yong (ranked 493 p4p, 544 weight class). Yong has chosen Galway Girl as his entrance music. Baldwin Yong is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Prid Vijitpongpun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baldwin Yong!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yong has a takedown stuffed.
Yong shoots in but Vijitpongpun avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vijitpongpun gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Vijitpongpun tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yong smiles and moves away.
Vijitpongpun moves into range and clinches up with Yong.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yong has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Vijitpongpun after a bit of a struggle.
Prid Vijitpongpun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baldwin Yong.
Vijitpongpun goes for a takedown in the clinch but Yong prevents it.

Yong blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Vijitpongpun manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Vijitpongpun has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Yong avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Yong is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Vijitpongpun gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Vijitpongpun is trying to drag Yong to the mat but Yong just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Yong has Vijitpongpun pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Yong pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Vijitpongpun tumbling to the mat - Yong dives into Vijitpongpun's guard.
Yong working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Yong makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Yong lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Vijitpongpun has momentary wrist control but Yong slips an elbow through the middle.

Yong working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Vijitpongpun's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vijitpongpun lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Vijitpongpun knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yong on the ground.

Vijitpongpun wants to control from the top but Yong keeps moving.
Yong seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We've been informed that Yong has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Yong looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Vijitpongpun puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Vijitpongpun tries to stand and escape but Yong is controlling the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Prid Vijitpongpun will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and Yong decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vijitpongpun's guard.
Vijitpongpun wants to stand but Yong is controlling the position.
Yong cracks Vijitpongpun with a solid left hand.
Yong scoring with punches to the head and body.
Vijitpongpun is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Yong with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Vijitpongpun is rocked!
Yong keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Vijitpongpun's head.
Oh Vijitpongpun is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Baldwin Yong has got the better of the ground game so far.
Yong scoring with some ground and pound.
Yong loads up on a big left hand. Vijitpongpun felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Yong looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Vijitpongpun can't hide his disappointment, as Yong celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Baldwin Yong!
After winning the bout, Baldwin Yong thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
