Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Schrute (ranked 2280 p4p, 25078 weight class) and Brad Beaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brad Beaver looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

With a record of 1 - 17 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brad Beaver!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schrute moves in looking to clinch but Beaver pushes him off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beaver is refusing to be controlled, as Schrute sits in half guard.
Beaver looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Schrute is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Schrute is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Beaver sees it coming and defends easily.
Schrute perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Beaver has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Schrute is on him like a limpet, forcing Beaver back against the cage.

Schrute wants the takedown. Beaver is fighting it off but Schrute persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Beaver's guard against the cage.

Beaver shoots in looking for a takedown but Schrute manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Beaver's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Schrute throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Beaver tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Schrute is in Beaver's guard.

Schrute is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Beaver to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Beaver shrugs it off.

Beaver tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Schrute paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The referee is keeping an eye on Schrute - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Schrute shoots in looking for a takedown. Beaver tries to sprawl out of it but Schrute keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beaver manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Schrute fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Beaver has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Schrute shoots in but Beaver avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Beaver changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schrute tries to avoid it but Beaver manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schrute to the ground. Schrute escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
