Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Pena (ranked 4439 p4p, 2811 weight class) and Dick Hickock (ranked 142 p4p, 336 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pena lands with a nice body punch.
Pena swinging wildly here.
Hickock looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Hickock tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pena was well out of range. Poor timing from Hickock.
Pena lands an overhand right.
Pena lands with a straight right. Hickock didn't see that one coming.
Pena misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've been told by Pena's head coaches at Tez’s Stand N Bang ! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Pena misses with a straight left.
Hickock looks to score with a jab to the body but Pena is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Hickock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Jesus Pena has been cut.
No joy there for Pena, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Pena counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Hickock thows a left - swing and a miss!

Pena throws a one two combo.
Pena keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hickock.
Hickock lands a nice hook to Pena's body. Pena takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Pena counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pena throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hickock sends Pena crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hickock is motioning to the referee to let Pena up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pena lands with a nice combination. Hickock backs away looking to recover.
Pena throws a right and a left that Hickock avoids nicely.
Hickock appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Pena gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Hickock counters with a nice right hand that sends Pena toppling to the canvas! Pena scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Hickock finish him?!

Pena is rocked!
The crowd cheers as Pena lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hickock doesn't seem phased though.
Hickock lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Pena up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Hickock from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Pena's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dick Hickock!
