Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Jansen (ranked 4605 p4p, 4363 weight class) and Clasp Rich Nit (ranked 574 p4p, 0 weight class). Clasp Rich Nit has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Jansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clasp Rich Nit!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jansen tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rich Nit counters with a straight right hand.
Jansen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rich Nit defends well and Jansen ends up having to push Rich Nit into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Jansen gets control of Rich Nit's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jansen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Rich Nit won't allow Jansen to sweep him here.
Jansen is working hard here to advance position.

Jansen has his foot on Rich Nit's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rich Nit works his way back into a safe position though.

Rich Nit got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jansen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rich Nit has managed to get both his arms back between Jansen's legs - danger averted.
Rich Nit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jansen pushes Rich Nit off and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jansen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rich Nit! But no joy.
Rich Nit wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A left and a right from Jansen both land. Nice combination.

Rich Nit misses the shot to the body.
Jansen tries a head kick but it misses.
Rich Nit ducks under a wild hook from Jansen.
Jansen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jansen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rich Nit.
Rich Nit blocks a leg kick.
Jansen tries to close the distance and clinch but Rich Nit swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mark Jansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rich Nit sizes up Jansen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jansen throws a right and a left that both miss.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rich Nit! But no joy.
Jansen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rich Nit swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jansen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Rich Nit moves out of range as Jansen throws a body kick.
Jansen throws a wild body kick that Rich Nit sees coming a mile off.
Jansen moves in looking to clinch but Rich Nit pushes him off.
Jansen closes the distance but Rich Nit moves to the side
and Rich Nit counters with a straight right hand.

and Rich Nit counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Jansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jansen is breathing heavily.
Jansen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rich Nit throws a hook to the side of Jansen's head but Jansen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jansen changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Rich Nit cracks Jansen on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Jansen falls backwards against the cage. Rich Nit follows up with more strikes that drop Jansen to his knees. Rich Nit keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Jansen! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clasp Rich Nit!
