Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daizen Kuroda (ranked 1316 p4p, 3348 weight class) and JJ Moss (ranked 205 p4p, 461 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daizen Kuroda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, JJ Moss!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moss closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kuroda tries to get to full guard but Moss has control of the leg.
Moss wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kuroda keeps working.
Moss thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kuroda's head.
Kuroda has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Moss keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Kuroda is trying to maintain the position but Moss is very close to passing his half guard.
Kuroda tries to get to full guard but Moss has control of the leg.

Moss is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kuroda defends it well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moss postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kuroda misses with a hook. Moss ducked under it nicely.
Kuroda throws a big shot that misses.
Kuroda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moss's waist but Moss gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kuroda off to one side.
The fighters circling - Kuroda throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Moss ducks under a wild hook from Kuroda.
Kuroda shoots in and drives through. Moss sprawls well.

Moss has Kuroda up against the cage in a clinch.

Moss pulls guard effortlessly.

Kuroda drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Moss manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kuroda has Moss in his guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Moss working his ground and pound in the gym.

Moss misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kuroda was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kuroda throws a lazy right hand but Moss sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kuroda tries to pull guard but Moss won't allow it.
Moss gets underhooks to prevent Kuroda's takedown attempt.

Moss drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kuroda looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kuroda looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kuroda!

Moss is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kuroda off and has taken his back!
Moss controlling the position well here. Kuroda rolled but Moss kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Moss is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kuroda defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Moss seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Kuroda's chin but Kuroda turns very nicely into Moss's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Kuroda.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kuroda sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Moss's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Moss is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kuroda has his hands clasped together but Moss extends and breaks Kuroda's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Moss.

JJ Moss really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that EFC Threads logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
