Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Von Killjoy (ranked 4698 p4p, 4734 weight class) and Luke Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Von Killjoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Conway!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conway misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Killjoy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Conway feints a counter leg kick.
Conway misses with a double jab.
Conway shoots for a double leg takedown but Killjoy sprawls well. He's pushed Conway's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Killjoy throws a quick counter kick to the body but Conway avoids it.

Killjoy has taken the fight to the clinch.

Conway pulls guard successfully.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Killjoy controls from within his opponent's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Killjoy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Conway can't keep his opponent in guard - Killjoy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killjoy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Conway keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Killjoy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Killjoy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Killjoy is trying to work for a kimura but Conway is defending well.

Killjoy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Killjoy controlling the action here.
Killjoy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Conway defending well though.
Conway is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Conway avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Killjoy.
Conway wants to get back to full guard but Killjoy has passed into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Killjoy in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Killjoy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Conway is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ground and pound from Killjoy seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Conway tries to bench press Killjoy off him but Killjoy keeps the position.
Conway wants to control but Killjoy postures up.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Von Killjoy dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Killjoy drives through with a takedown into Conway's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Killjoy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Conway can do to turn this around?
Killjoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Conway swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Conway can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Killjoy controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killjoy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Killjoy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Conway is keeping the position for now.
Conway trying to keep a closed guard but Killjoy is proving a slippery customer.
Killjoy tries to stand but Conway is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Conway gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Killjoy holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Conway jumps guard but Killjoy stands there with Conway around his waist. Conway gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Killjoy will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Conway up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Killjoy gets control of Conway's arms and successfully pulls guard. Killjoy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Von Killjoy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Killjoy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Conway won't allow Killjoy to sweep him here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Killjoy has control of Conway's left arm, preventing Conway from doing any damage.
Conway wants to get up but he can't break Killjoy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Conway must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Killjoy wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Conway dives in for a single leg takedown but Killjoy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Von Killjoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Conway.

Killjoy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Conway wants to stand back up but Killjoy manages to pass into side control.

Killjoy is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Conway looks calm but he's in trouble here. Killjoy gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Conway is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Killjoy lets go of the hold and Conway can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Von Killjoy!
