The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikeas instigates a clinch.
Macedo looking for a takedown.
Mikeas manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Macedo goes for a takedown attempt but Mikeas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mikeas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Macedo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Macedo attempts a counter takedown but Mikeas avoids it well and moves away.
Mikeas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Macedo circles away quickly and effectively.
Mikeas drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
