Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mono Loco (ranked 3297 p4p, 2947 weight class) and J Gay G (ranked 316 p4p, 290 weight class). Gay G has chosen Down as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gay G cracks Loco with an open hand slap.
Loco gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Gay G connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Loco's hands.
We've been hearing reports that Loco has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Gay G lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Gay G misses with a straight right.
Gay G feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Locos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

A looping hook to the body misses from Gay G. Loco does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gay G fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Loco manages to avoid it.

Gay G darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Loco tries to get to full guard but Gay G has control of the leg.
Gay G perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Loco gets back to full guard.
Gay G throws a big elbow that misses.
Loco has momentary wrist control but Gay G slips an elbow through the middle.
Gay G told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Gay G is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Loco looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Loco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gay G doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gay G manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Loco is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loco slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gay G holds on and takes a little breather.

Gay G had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Loco defends it easily.
Gay G controls Loco momentarily but Loco frees himself.
Gay G is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Loco is pressing down on Gay G's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Loco is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gay G accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gay G has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Loco to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gay G is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Loco pulls down on the head and he's put Gay G to sleep! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Mono Loco thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
