The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alexander Dulo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A little feinted left hand from Azevedo Souza on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Dulo throws out a counter right but Azevedo Souza avoids it with no problem.

Dulo throws a right hand that Azevedo Souza ducks under and follows up with a left that Azevedo Souza also avoids with ease.
Dulo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Dulo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Azevedo Souza wants to control but Dulo is keeping busy.

Azevedo Souza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dulo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dulo won't allow Azevedo Souza to sweep him here.

Dulo content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Azevedo Souza has locked up a guillotine! Azevedo Souza's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Dulo is holding on here and Azevedo Souza must be using up a lot of energy. Dulo has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Azevedo Souza gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
