Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Piper forces Martinez back against the cage and clinches.
Martinez wants to stall.
Martinez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Martinez trying to stall but Piper improves his position.
Piper doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Piper lands a nice uppercut.
Piper has Martinez pressed against the cage, preventing Martinez from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Martinez tries to throw a body punch but Piper avoids it by throwing Martinez back against the cage.
Martinez's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Martinez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Piper walks away with a smile on his face. Martinez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Piper moves into the clinch successfully.
A left hand lands to the body for Piper.
Martinez doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Martinez throws a punch but it's blocked by Piper.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Piper creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Martinez.

Piper turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Piper manages to end up in side control.

Martinez tries to buck Piper off but Piper is having none of it.

Martinez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Piper's best efforts.

Let's hope that Piper has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piper prevents Martinez from improving his position.

Martinez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Piper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Piper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Martinez looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Piper is defending well. Martinez quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Piper has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Martinez celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
