PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hulkki pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaique Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch but pete moves out of range.

pete drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
pete stands up over Silva, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
pete would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Hulkki pete has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaique Silva.
pete throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

pete bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

pete stands up and beckons Silva to his feet.

pete looks to land a combination. Silva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

pete drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.

pete ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. pete no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
pete bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.
pete stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
pete throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

pete stands up and waves to Silva to follow him.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
pete won't allow Silva to sweep him here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

pete drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.

pete is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Silva can't fight it off and eventually pete manages to take the fight to the floor. Silva looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kaique Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. pete gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well pete has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
