Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Sorokin (ranked 4854 p4p, 24169 weight class) and Ilya Alexyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorokin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alexyev's guard.
Alexyev is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sorokin dives into side control.

Sorokin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sorokin tries to get out of the position.

A head punch on the inside from Sorokin fails to land.
Alexyev is trying to break free.
Sorokin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Alexyev fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aleks Sorokin.
I think Sorokin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
