The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoso closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zulfiqar circles away.
Cardoso swings for the body but Zulfiqar moves out of range.
Zulfiqar half committed to a counter leg kick.
Zulfiqar throws a left and a right that both miss

and Cardoso counters with a single leg into guard. Zulfiqar didn't expect that.
Cardoso is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cardoso is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zulfiqar is just riding it out for now. Cardoso eventually gives up the hold.

Cardoso looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Zulfiqar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cardoso on the ground.

Cardoso is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Zulfiqar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cardoso.
