Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sirus Hughes (ranked 21443 p4p, 4287 weight class) and Doesnt Matter (ranked 452 p4p, 380 weight class). Hughes comes to the cage accompanied by Devil "Shinedown". Doesnt Matter will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hughes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hughes controlling the position.
Hughes working away.
Hughes advances to full mount.
Hughes controlling from mount.
Hughes seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Matter is holding on tight.

Hughes is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Matter has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Hughes working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hughes gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Hughes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Matter was covering up waiting for the punch and Hughes finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Matter can't keep his opponent in guard - Hughes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Matter trying to hold on to Hughes's head to control him but Hughes postures up.
Hughes is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Hughes is looking for a kimura but Matter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hughes to get the leverage.
Matter wants to control but Hughes is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hughes has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Matter defend it? Hughes steps over the head and cranks it - Matter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hughes!
