Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Robinson (ranked 4711 p4p, 4814 weight class) and Randy Smack (ranked 48 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smack throws a sloppy body shot
and Robinson counters with a three punch combo that has Smack backing up. Smack nods at Robinson to acknowledge the strikes.
Smack throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Robinson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Robinson tries to counter by clinching up but Smack breaks away and moves out of range.
Smack thuds his right hand into Robinson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Robinson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smack walks away with a smile on his face. Robinson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Robinson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smack tries to avoid it but Robinson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smack to the ground. Smack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Smack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Smack tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Robinson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Smack ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Smack no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smack wriggles free and stands up.
Smack lands a nice hook to Robinson's body. Robinson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Smack closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Smack is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Robinson can't fight it off and eventually Smack manages to take the fight to the floor. Robinson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Smack is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Robinson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
