Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, That Heart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Vlad Tabares!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heart scores with a hook to the body. Tabares takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Heart with a hook.
Sloppy strikes from Tabares. Those never looked like landing.
Tabares will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Heart lands a right hook to the body.
Tabares looks to score with a jab to the body but Heart is just out of range.
Tabares keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A lazy left from Heart finds it's target.
Good exchange - Heart coming out on top.
Heart fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tabares looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Tabares throws a right and a left that Heart avoids nicely.
Heart seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Heart lands a nice looking body shot.
A big right from Heart misses.
Heart scores with a shot to the body.
Tabares looks winded!
Tabares throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Heart clinches.
Heart pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
I was talking to Heart's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Heart digs a right hand into Tabares's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Tabares's gas tank.
Heart tries to throw a body punch but Tabares avoids it by throwing Heart back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Tabares.
A left hand lands to the body for Heart.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Heart.

Heart jumps into guard, dragging Tabares to the mat.

Heart looking for a guillotine here but Tabares defends easily.
Heart has control of Tabares's left arm, preventing Tabares from doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Heart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Heart wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Heart feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tabaress jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Heart fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tabares on the side of the head.
Horrible takedown attempt by Heart or perhaps it was just good defense by Tabares, which made it look bad.
Heart lunges at Tabares with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tabares's hand.
Heart swings widly with a right hand
and Tabares counters with a straight right hand.
Heart jabs Tabares to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Heart dips to his left and cracks Tabares with an uppercut!
Tabares walks into a left hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from Heart.
Heart lands an overhand right.
Heart scores with a body shot.
Tabares on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Heart throws a hook but Tabares avoids it easily.
Heart lands the left hand.
Tabares lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Heart circles away quickly and effectively.
Heart fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tabares on the side of the head.
Tabares throws a body punch but Heart moves out of range.
Tabares throws a series of punches but Heart avoids them all with ease.
Heart digs a good hook to Tabares's body.
Heart clobbers Tabares with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Heart works Tabares's body with a nice hook.

Heart shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Heart is taking a breather. Tabares says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Heart passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tabares!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tabares holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Heart tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Heart takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Heart's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Heart throws some wild stikes that Tabares manages to avoid easily.
Heart sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That Heart dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Heart fails to land with a series of punches.
Heart cracks Tabares with an open hand slap.
Tabares takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Heart comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Tabares throws a series of punches but Heart moves out of range.
Heart tries to counter by clinching up but Tabares breaks away and moves out of range.
Heart ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That Heart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tabares takes one to the side of the head.
Heart dodges the punch combination from Tabares.
Heart connects with a jab.
Heart works the jab nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tabares misses with a two punch combination.
Tabares takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Heart.
Vlad Tabares is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tabares looks to land a combination but Heart avoids it well.
Tabares is breathing heavily.
Tabares throws a right hand that Heart ducks under and follows up with a left that Heart also avoids with ease.
Heart wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Tabares throws the left hand but Heart avoids the punch easily.
Heart jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Heart connects with a crisp jab.

Tabares is rocked!
Heart lands a body shot.
Tabares shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Tabares is still on wobbly legs! Can Heart finish him?
Heart thuds a left hand into Tabares's body.
Heart connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Heart throws an overhand right that drops Tabares like a sack of potatoes! Heart dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). That Heart!
A very excited looking That Heart rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
