The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green is looking to clinch.
A cross from Diaz lands.
Green throws an off balance right hand
and Diaz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Green thows a leg kick but Diaz checks it
enabling Diaz to counter with a crisp jab.
Noel Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz connects with a good right hand that stumbles Green. Green circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Green is rocked!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Green is still on wobbly legs! Can Diaz finish him?

Green wants to clinch.

Diaz closes the distance and clinches.
Green looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Diaz lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Green.

Diaz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Diaz smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Noel Diaz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Diaz drops Green with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Green looks back up at him and smiles so Diaz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Diaz drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Green's head, knocking him out cold! Diaz is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Noel Diaz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
