Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bwana Effiong (ranked 6431 p4p, 3867 weight class) and DJ Killeshaw (ranked 655 p4p, 516 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bwana Effiong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DJ Killeshaw!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Effiong misses with a hook. Killeshaw ducked under it nicely.
Effiong throws a leg kick that misses.
Killeshaw throws a jab when Effiong was well out of range.

Killeshaw closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Effiong to the mat! Effiong manages to get full guard.
Killeshaw throws a big right hand that misses.
Killeshaw has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Killeshaw stops Effiong from standing up.
Effiong trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Effiong isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Killeshaw stacks Effiong on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Killeshaw!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Effiong wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Killeshaw lands some shots froms side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killeshaw lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Effiong tries to buck Killeshaw off but Killeshaw is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Killeshaw is trying to get an arm triangle but Effiong is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Effiong wants to control but Killeshaw postures up.
Effiong is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Killeshaw is controlling him well.
Killeshaw lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Effiong down.
Effiong is working to avoid the ground and pound but Killeshaw connects with a decent elbow.
Effiong has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Killeshaw scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Effiong to see if he's OK.
Effiong is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Killeshaw lands a decent elbow from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Killeshaw has hold of Effiong's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Effiong tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Killeshaw cranks the arm and Effiong screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Effiong, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
