Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between RJ Cast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alice Jonson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonson has chosen As I Lay Dying - This Is Who We Are as his entrance music. The key to victory for RJ Cast has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cast avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jonson fails in his attempt to clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jonson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jonson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jonson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jonson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Cast escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jonson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cast holds on and takes a little breather.

Jonson wants to pass the guard but Cast is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jonson won't allow Cast to sweep him here.
Cast is pulling down on Jonson's head. It's preventing any offense from Jonson, at least for the moment.
Cast manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jonson manages to get himself to full guard.
Jonson wants to control but Cast passes easily into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jonson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Cast has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Cast tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jonson wants to control but Cast is having none of it.
Cast controlling the position easily from mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jonson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jonson tries to reverse the position but Cast maintains control.

Jonson tries to lock up and control but Cast gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cast wants to control the pace but Jonson is squirming around nicely.

Cast misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Cast takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Cast has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Cast throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cast will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jonson tries to pull guard but Cast holds him up against the cage and eventually Jonson drops back down to his feet.
Jonson wants the takedown. Cast is fighting it off but Jonson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cast's guard against the cage.

Cast tries to move to mount but Jonson blocks the move with his legs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Jonson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jonson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jonson is not content to let Cast control the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cast tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Jonson is trying to improve his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jonson blocks the body kick.
RJ Cast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cast wants to clinch.

No joy there for Cast, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jonson gets a clinch.
Jonson looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Cast tries a knee to the head but Jonson blocks it.
Cast scores with a nice hook to the head.

Jonson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The is referee keeping an eye on Cast - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Jonson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jonson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Cast is trying to maintain a safe position but Jonson gets an underhook and turns Cast into the cage.
Jonson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Cast tries to break the clinch but Jonson is controlling the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jonson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Cast's brow.
Jonson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A short uppercut from Cast.
Jonson wants a takedown.
Cast lands an elbow inside that Jonson shrugs off.
Jonson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jonson wants to clinch.
Cast misses with an uppercut. Jonson saw that one coming.
Jonson ducks under a wild hook from Cast.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jonson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jonson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jonson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cast's guard.

Alice Jonson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Jonson misses with a takedown attempt - Cast sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jonson shoots in for a takedown but Cast shows good takedown defense.
Jonson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cast tries to avoid it but Jonson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cast to the ground. Cast escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
RJ Cast has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alice Jonson.
Jonson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jonson moves away from the strike by Cast.
Cast throws a wild body kick that Jonson sees coming a mile off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jonson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cast.

Jonson is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Cast as he works his way to full guard.
Cast looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jonson is one step ahead there.
Cast keeping moving, preventing Jonson from controlling successfully.

Cast pulls Jonson in close to prevent any damage.
Jonson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jonson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cast smiles and moves away.

and Cast counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cast ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jonson moves away.
Jonson clinches up against the cage.
Jonson fails to pull guard.
Jonson blocking some punches.
Jonson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Jonson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Cast.
Cast tries to land a knee to the head but Jonson blocks with his arms.
Jonson trying to control the position but instead, Cast has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jonson into the cage.
Cast holding his opponent close, against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jonson jumps guard but Cast stands there with Jonson around his waist. Jonson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cast tries a knee to the head but Jonson blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to RJ Cast.
I think Cast has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
