Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Cafeteiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Robinson .
Cafeteiro is looking to regain half guard here but Robinson keeps moving and retains side control.

Robinson throws a strike aimed at the side of Cafeteiro's head but Cafeteiro avoids it well.
Cafeteiro might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Robinson is working for a kimura but Cafeteiro is defending it quite comfortably.

Robinson is nestled in close to Cafeteiro, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Cafeteiro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Robinson is working away from the top position though.
Robinson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cafeteiro is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Robinson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Cafeteiro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Robinson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Robinson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cafeteiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cafeteiro can't keep his opponent in guard - Robinson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
