Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bot tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smi is in Bot's guard.
Bot is trying to control the position but Smi postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bot swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Smi stands up over Bot, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Smi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Smi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bot sprawls well initially but Smi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Smi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bot napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Smi wants to stand and escape but instead Bot has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Smi tries to lock up and control but Bot gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

My spies in Cozad MMA Las Vegas inform me that Bot has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
