PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tahboule Alawi (ranked 3173 p4p, 6336 weight class) and Shadow Legend (ranked 393 p4p, 572 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alawi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Ruler of Everything. Shadow Legend will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legend ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alawi moves away.
Legend is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Legend checks the leg kick nicely there.
Legend thinks about the counter body kick.
Legend lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Alawi checks a leg kick.
Legend tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alawi seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Legend throws a lazy head kick
and Alawi counters with a nice uppercut.
Alawi dodges the punch combination from Legend.
Alawi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Legend thows a body kick. Alawi tries to catch it but that hurt him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alawi avoids the head kick by Legend.
A quick step to the side and Alawi tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Legend throws a head kick that misses

and Alawi counters with a shoot takedown. Legend fights it but they end up in guard.
Legend looks winded!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alawi advances to half guard.
Alawi works his foot free and advances to mount.
Legend really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alawi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Legend has left one of his arms exposed and Alawi doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Legend screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
