Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Pistol (ranked 4958 p4p, 4820 weight class) and Brad Beaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brad Beaver is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beaver blocks a head kick by Pistol.
Beaver looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Horrible takedown attempt by Pistol or perhaps it was just good defense by Beaver, which made it look bad.
Pistol pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pistol shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Beaver wants to counter the offense by Pistol and move into the clinch position.

Beaver gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pistol to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pistol pushes down on Beaver's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pistol wants to take a breather but Beaver is having none of it.

Beaver stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Beaver wants it to stay on the feet.

Beaver shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Beaver showed some decent athleticism there.

Pistol manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Pistol throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pistol shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Beaver sprawls well. Beaver wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pistol gets slowly back to his feet.

Beaver misses with a takedown attempt - Pistol sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Pistol drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Pistol is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beaver is just riding it out for now. Pistol eventually gives up the hold.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pistol maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Beaver could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Pistol has cracked it and Beaver is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Pistol!
