Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kane Gold!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold throws a leg kick which misses Writ's front leg but catches the back leg as Writ tries to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gold has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gold displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Writ.
Gold throws a right hand that Writ ducks under and follows up with a left that Writ also avoids with ease.
Writ attempts a counter takedown but Gold avoids it well and moves away.
Gold scores with a one two! Writ had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
We've been hearing reports that Writ has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Gold jabs Writ right on the nose. Writ blinks but takes it well.

Gold throws a low kick but it's checked well by Writ.

Writ on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Gold throws a series of punches but Writ moves out of range.

and Gold counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Writ down! Gold is looking to finish but Writ is intelligently defending himself.

Gold throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Writ works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Writ throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gold uses it to pass to side control.
Writ is breathing heavily.

Gold decides to stand up, so the ref orders Writ to his feet.
Writ seems to have got his legs back now.

Writ is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Gold just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Writ has gone limp and this one is over!
