Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kentrell Turner (ranked 3740 p4p, 3687 weight class) and Marcus Delgado (ranked 504 p4p, 501 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kentrell Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Delgado!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delgado just misses with a punch to the body.
Turner avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Marcus Delgado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Delgado's waist but Delgado gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Turner off to one side.
Delgado misses with a straight left.
Turner stuffs the takedown.

Delgado slips a jab and a cross from Turner.
Turner shoots in but no luck this time.

Delgado seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Turner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Turner looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Turner throws a combination. Delgado tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Delgado shoots in looking for a takedown but Turner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Delgado's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Delgado. Turner does a little dance to reset his feet.
As Delgado tries to get set, Turner tries to push him back and clinch up but Delgado manages to avoid the attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Kentrell Turner will probably get the nod.

Delgado is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Turner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Turner parries the strikes from Delgado easily there. Delgado is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Turner to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Delgado creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Turner sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Delgado tries to move to mount but Turner blocks the move with his legs.

Marcus Delgado showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Turner sneaks out the side door and pushes Delgado away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
