The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Syafiee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Syafiee checks a low kick from Hiro.
Hiro keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Syafiee lands with a cross.

Hiro closes the distance and clinches.
Syafiee has Hiro pressed against the cage.
Hiro is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Syafiee is keeping busy.

Hiro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Syafiee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hiro circles away quickly and effectively.

Hiro stuffs the takedown attempt from Syafiee. Syafiee gets slowly back to his feet.
Syafiee throws a head kick that half lands.
Syafiee shoots for a double leg takedown but Hiro sprawls well. He's pushed Syafiee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And Hiro responds with a good body kick, but Syafiee manages to step out the way in time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andi Syafiee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Syafiee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
