PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Togoldor Artag (ranked 2076 p4p, 1314 weight class) and Lorenzo Bianchi (ranked 291 p4p, 200 weight class). Lorenzo Bianchi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Artag blocks a low kick nicely.
Artag connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bianchi. Bianchi circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bianchi dodges the punch combination from Artag.
Bianchi moves out of range as Artag strikes.
Artag is looking to score with low kicks.
Bianchi throws a sloppy head kick and Artag moves out of range easily.
Artag throws a body punch but Bianchi moves out of range.
Bianchi throws a leg kick
and Artag counters with a good low kick that Bianchi was not able to check.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Artag throws a lazy head kick
and Bianchi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Artag tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And Bianchi responds with a good body kick, but Artag manages to step out the way in time.

Artag lands a left and a right that send Bianchi crashing to the mat, dazed. Artag thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Lorenzo Bianchi has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Artag stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bianchi.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick by Artag - that's a beauty! Bianchi is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Artag can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
