PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hafir Dharris (ranked 1990 p4p, 2204 weight class) and Gage Bennett (ranked 271 p4p, 290 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hafir Dharris !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gage Bennett!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dharris feinted with a counter takedown.

We've been hearing that Dharris has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hafir Dharris will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Dharris takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dharris seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bennett for as long as he can get away with.
Dharris 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dharris , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
