The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ixtlan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kerr drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ixtlan defends it well.
Ixtlan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kerr manages to avoid it.
Kerr feints the counter takedown.
Ixtlan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ixtlan drops Kerr with a beautiful combination! Kerr stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ixtlan is looking for the KO!
Kerr is rocked!
It looks like Marko Kerr has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ixtlan clinches with his opponent.
Kerr wants to take the fight to the mat but Ixtlan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Ixtlan throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kerrs head.
Kerr is still on wobbly legs! Can Ixtlan finish him?
Ixtlan pushes Kerr against the cage. Ixtlan is working some dirty boxing. Ixtlan pushes off with a quick right hook! Kerr goes down! Kerr tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Ixtlan moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Obel Ixtlan!
After winning the bout, Obel Ixtlan thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
